The upstairs at the Barn was so incredibly roomy it really begged to be used for nontraditional indoor activities. We often hackey-sacked inside, and some of us hit the volleyball around once in a while. Discs were tossed (both Microsoft CDs (also used as drink coasters) and Frisbees), and Nerf basketball shots were made from 40 feet out. There were even golf ball marks on the ceiling from previous residents who'd apparently been practicing their chipping.

A look across the second floor from west to east.
At the far end is the Doorway to Infinity.
(This photo was taken before the rope was tied up, otherwise you'd
see it on the middle beam.)

The Barn Rope, which hung nearly twenty feet from the upstairs to the downstairs, provided a challenge for those who preferred nonstandard methods of getting from one floor to the other.

That's Mark, standing near the bottom
of the rope on the first floor.
Here's another view across the second floor,
looking from east to west this time. This video
frame was taken after the rope was put up--
that's it hanging from a beam in the middle.
One last look at the rope,
from the bottom up.
